Why is it fine for girls to play with cars and not boys with dolls?
Why is the mom so confused and upset about this?
If I had a son I would let him play with a doll unless he doesn't want to. I wouldn't care what other people think of me buying my son a doll. If someone made fun of me then I would ignore it because who cares of what other people think of you.It's what you think of yourself in the inside. Why would I let my son play with a doll?? Well if he wanted to then yes and because dolls aren't only for girls. I saw dolls for girls too...well some not a lot. Boys have the rights to play with a doll too.Not only girls. And why? Well why not?
Girls can play with cars because the cars that girl play with are pink or purple. Like girly colours and the cars that boys play with are dark or boyish. The dolls that boy plays with aren't dolls, there action figures. And thats different from dolls. If a boy plays with a girl doll then thats weird to some people because people think that dolls are for girls unless they play with a action figure then thats fine to some people. But personally I really don't care if I see a boy playing with a doll. Its normal.
The mom is so confused because she didn't want to get embarrassed by people making fun of her by buying her son a doll. She also didn't want to be a bad mom by saying no to buying her son a doll and making him cry. She is also upset because she wanted her son to act like boys and buy boy toys instead of buying girl toys. She thought that is she let her son buy the doll then her husband will be mad or something. She also wanted her son to be happy. And if she didn't buy her son the toy then he might get mad and cry or maybe he might just cry.
